August 29/09 Day 1

We were up at 6:00. - 15 degrees and raining.
We left the house at 6:45, Al waved us off and we were at Peter and Immy's at 7, as planned.
Jennie came the night before, and we no sooner hit the highway, and she snuggling on the couch for a snooze. Jennie does not do 6 a.m. lol
Rain stopped , but the wipers would not turn off.... minor repair.
By 1:15 in the afternoon the alternator was getting noisy. By 3 there was a burning smell, and we headed for the nearest campground. (Deja Vu...Steinbach). Arrived at Sainte Genevieve de Batiscan between Montreal and Quebec....for a fix it job. The campground is in the middle of nowhere, but quite nice.
The shaft is riding on a bearing and the bearing is destroyed, causing the belt to snap also.
The guys found a garage and a new part was to be ordered Monday morning. They left the alternator there.



Good thing we rec'd this huuuge container of speculaar from Amanda. Thanks soooo much. They are delicious.

We are now waiting till Monday. It's raining again, and found out the window above my bed is leaking. My bed is wet. I'm sooo happy.
