Finally we are able to use the
Internet again.
We detoured through the Northern Avalon and we spent most of our day here touring the little towns. We tanked up again, this time for 1.08, the most we paid so far. We now get transmission fluid and oil put in at the same time. If there's a cavity---it gets filled.
Immy is trying to read her email. Doesn't work in the camper van.

Some more ocean treasures we found.

The name of this town is Dildo. It's
supposed to be the prettiest town in Canada. The
interpretation centre and craft store was closed. Unfortunately we found a lot of places, restaurants and campsite were already closed for the season. But we loved not having crowds of people around us everywhere we went.

Replica of a giant squid caught in 1933.

Town of "
Whiteway".

" Shag Rock"

Small towns with the cutest names. This town is: "Heart's Delight".

"Heart's Desire"

"Heart's Content"

"Perry's Cove"
Was settled in the late 18
Th century by people from England and Ireland.

Gorgeous walk along the cliffs.

"
Sculpin Island"

Never any kind of fencing along the coastline. So easy to get some great pictures. Difficult to see on the picture how deep this is though.

We were all very curious to see what a blow hole was.

Immy, Peter and Marcel are getting a good look here. It's hard to see the greatness of this. The water spouts up through a large hole in the rocks. Marcel put in on video, so that will be great for later to see again.

A closer view.

We never got tired of the ruggedness of
Nfld
Peter and Jennie in a root cellar. The most historic sight in Perry's Cove.

Jennie and I are signing the guest book in this cellar.
Immy, Peter and Marcel are in this pictures. Click on it to get a larger picture.

Not sure why I did 2 similar pictures.

Old church built in 1890. Town of "Harbour Grace".

Partridge Berries. A very tart fruit. We ate pancakes, jams and pies made with these berries while we were in
Nfld. Yum.

Shortly after 5 we arrived in Pippy's Park in St. John's. One of the oldest cities in North America with a population of over 100,000 people. From here we travelled in one vehicle to do some touring in this area. More tomorrow.
*sigh* I would go crazy with photo ideas... GORGEOUS!!
