Sept 15, 2009 Day 18

Today, we started our 2 day trek back to Port Aux Basque's ferry. Again, we had full sun the whole day. At 8:30 we left the Pippy's Park. Thanks for the recommendation Evelyn.
On our route back, we detoured through the little town of Cupids, the pantry cupboard door broke. While Marcel was driving, I did a bungee cord fix.

Lovely town of "Cupid"

Here Jennie found another walking trail. This one was almost 2 hrs. long.

The trail was full of little coves. We all thought that this sign meant "another cove", but later on we found there really was a cove by that name. The accents by the locals are great. Sometimes it's really difficult to understand. But so adorable.

Peter and Jennie in the distance.

"Arch" Not too difficult to get great shots. The reflection from the blue sky on the water.

Marcel and I are enjoying the view.

Marcel, Peter and Immy.

Tricky stairs made from boulders.

I took about 100 pictures on this walk. Every corner we turned had another breathtaking view.

Sea Urchins

Peter enjoying the view.

Peter and Jennie taking the hard way down.

Marcel filming, and Immy sitting on a bench in the distance.

Jennie and Peter again.

A rock with quartz. We saw a lot of quartz in boulders, after we knew what to look for.

Not too many days without very strong winds. Does wonders with the hair!!!

Of course Jennie wants the Sea Urchins on the edge of this cliff.
Marcel is ready to grab her leg in case she slips???

Depth is so hard to capture on a picture.

Immy peaking through the bushes.
We arrived at Green Bay Nfld at 7:30. A full day. Immy and Jennie did laundry, while we cooked supper. Outside Marcel fried up some halibut that Immy caught in Alaska. That halibut did more travelling in our freezer than when it was in the ocean. lol

  1. LOL about Aunt Jennie and the urchins, and about taking Alaskan halibut along to the east coast!

Love the one of you and dad enjoying the view off the cliff:)
