Hello all
I am unable to post any pictures. We are having a great time, wonderful sunny weather, with great scenery. We are in Gros Morne National Park for our 2nd day, and are planning to stay another night. The boat trip went ok, and we plan to return to NS by taking the night ferry, but we'll be here a few days yet. We'll update with lots of gorgeous pictures of the island when we can. Thanks to all those that posted comments. The 5 of us love hearing from you all.

ReplyDeleteWe are a little "tardy" in commenting on your blog but we are trying to follow your travels as best as we can since your visit with us in Dartmouth. We absolutely enjoyed your (too short) visit with us, again, thanks for the pizza dinner and sorry for the messy home!
Newfie is sure different from anything else you have experienced right? We hope you have a good time there and will be following you across the island if that is what you are planning to do. If Alida wants to develop real sea legs, you could take the ferry back to NS from Argentia. I think that is somewhere around 18 hours or so which should be long enough to qualify as an ocean trip :)
We are on the road also, and I am typing this out from a Super8 motel in Grdner, Massachusetts. Left Moncton this morning under glorious sunny skies and ended up in heavy rain, drizzle and mist at the end of the day. Unlike you guys, we are sticking to the freeways/turnpikes to make good time on our way to Ontario.
We think about you guys often and pray that you stay safe!

I was just speaking with mom and there is minimal internet service available in nfld. Well there is service but it's slower than when they had dial up at home. They plan on taking the night ferry leaving at 11:30pm. Once back on the "main land" mom will read all comments and emails and hopefully update the blog.

ReplyDeleteI tried posting a comment on your blog but didn't know what profile to put it in. anyway, I hope you check your email...we emptied your basement on Sat., Sept 5! Can never thank you enough for giving our stuff a home for 3 years, 8 months! WOW! It's kinda fun opening them up! We're still trying to settle in...so many boxes!
